Q: What is the transmission range of a Visiplex system?
A: A Visiplex wireless system can cover single small elementary school up to an entire town with one transmitter only! The wireless system uses a paging band to send the paging information to all its pagers and can use a transmission power from 2-350 Watts, as needed to provide full coverage to your facility. Visiplex systems are installed in some of the largest universities in the country and use one transmitter to provide full transmission coverage.

Q: What size transmitter should I choose?
A: Wireless system coverage is affected by construction materials, certain shielded areas, antenna positioning, antenna height and overall transmitter power. For example; an average grade school will need 2-4 watts of transmitter power, a high school 4-10 watts, a hospital 10-25 watts, large medical centers 40 Watts, large universities 100-350 watts. Q: Do I need professional installation?
A: Most of Visiplex wireless systems can be installed without the need of professional installers. All the systems that use a Magnetic Mount antenna (transmitter power of less than 40Watts) can be installed with a simple mounting procedure, by mounting the antenna on a large metal base. Since the entire system is wireless, all the other components can be installed without any professional assistance. If your system is designed to cover a very large facility, like an entire university or medical center, it is recommended to use a professional installer to install the transmitter antenna on the roof, and choose the best location for the transmitter installation. If you need or choose to install the system by a professional, Visiplex can offer professional installation services by our staff or recommend one of our dealers in your area.

Q: How does a wireless system cost compare with a hard-wired clock system?
A: The main cost difference between a wireless system and a hard-wired one has to do with the costly wiring of the facility and the future wire-related service problems. For example, a 100,000SF facility with 50 speakers, will cost around $15,000 for system parts, and approximately $10,000 will be needed to wire the building. This is a saving of 40% in the total project cost! Q: How quickly can I receive my system?
A: If your order doesn't include special items and uses one of Visiplex's standard frequencies, you will be able to receive your order within days of your order. If your order includes special features like an FCC licence, custom clock faces or a special system configuration, it will extend the delivery time by 2-3 weeks.
