The Visiplex VS4820 paging base station can monitor wireless wall-mounted and wearable panic buttons, identify every button activation, and initiate a pre-programmed paging event associated with that button. The VS4820 pre-programmed events include facility-wide PA voice announcements and public alerts, SMS text notifications, public visual alerts, and text messaging to LED message boards.

The cost of a basic wireless panic button system will be the sum of the chosen panic buttons and remote activated devices (for example, it would cost approximately $400 for a CT157 panic button and VNS2610 wireless PA speaker). An expanded paging system could include a VS4820 base station, a single VNS2610 wireless PA speaker and one panic button, and would start at approximately $1,600. The total cost will mostly be based on the amount of wireless panic buttons, PA speakers, LED message boards and other visual alert devices that are needed to provide full notification coverage.

A Visiplex wireless panic button series transmission range is up to approximately 300′ and can be extended with a repeater. This helps ensure the system is able to cover areas from a small school up to a large, multi-building commercial site.

Visiplex wireless panic buttons can be installed without the need of professional installers, with simple installation procedures for the wall-mounted units. Since the entire system is wireless, all of the remote components, such as speakers, message boards, intercom stations and visual alert devices, can be installed without any professional assistance. Connecting to AC power or a POE power source would be all that is needed. A desktop base station system that uses an indoor antenna can be installed with a simple magnetic antenna mounting procedure. If your system is designed to cover a large area, it is recommended to use a professional installer to choose the best location for the transmitter and antenna, while ensuring the antenna is properly installed on the roof. Remote devices, such as wireless PA speakers and LED message boards, are offered with a built-in power backup option to ensure full functionality during power outage situations. It is recommended that all other system components, such as the base station, will be equipped with a power backup UPS.
